Combine Lists

With Combine Lists you can Merge, Intersect and Subtract Lists. The Combine List screen has two main areas: the "List Processing" box and the "List Operations" selection buttons.

List Processing Box
List Processing actions such as Combine Lists and Compare Lists have a similar box into which you load the lists to process. To load a list simply click on the list in the folder listing below and it will appear in the List Processing Box. Here is an example from the Combine List function:

Removing Items from List Operations Box

To remove ALL items in the List Processing Box, click on the Clear Selection button on the bottom right side of the List Processing Box.

To remove a single item from the List Processing Box, click on the list and then click on the Remove Selected Item button on the top of the List Processing Box.

List Operations
Click on a List Operation button for information about that function.

Merge

Merge combines the patents from the lists which you put in the List Processing Box, eliminating duplicate entries in the process. This can be helpful when you are doing a series of keyword searches and you would like to preserve the list from each separate search and then combine them for further analysis.

Intersect
