Search Results Page - Summary View Tab

The Summary View contains two "views" of your search. On the left side is the Analysis View, which by default is set to show you the Current Assignees/Owners of the patents and/or published patent applications that are returned by your search query. On the right side of the screen is the Paragraph View which shows you the individual patents/applications returned by the search.

Analysis View
The Analysis View shows the search results analyzed by the criteria you select, for example the "Current Assignees" or owners of the patents and/or patent applications:

In this Current Assignee Analysis of a search for "nano" in the Abstract there are 39 patents that are "Unspecified" meaning that there are no assignee/owners of record at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office- i.e., the patents are still owned by their inventors. Bridgestone Corporation owns 7 patents from the nano search.

Other Analyses are available from the pull-down menu:

"Left Clicking" on one of the Analyses Results Items causes the related patents and/or patent applications to appear in the Paragraph View on the right side of the page.   Click on "Show All Results" to display ALL of the patents/applications in the Paragraph View.   You can also Export to Excel all of the patents/applications grouped by the Analysis type categories - the resulting Excel spreadsheet will contain the patent/application numbers linked to the USPTO and the related Titles.

"Right Clicking" on the item brings up a menu for further analysis of the item.  In this example right clicking on the Bridgestone Corporation item in the Current Assignee Analysis results brings up a menu to access Hoovers (separate subscription required), Yahoo Directory Search and Google Search:

The menu options depend on the type of Analysis, e.g., in an Inventor Analysis one of the menu items is a Google Scholar link.

Paragraph View
The Paragraph View shows each patent property in a "paragraph" format showing (1) the Title in the first line, (2) the Patent or Publication Number, Issue or Publication Date and Current Owner/Assignee in the second line and (3) the first few lines of the Abstract:

"Left Clicking" on the Title of the patent accesses the full text of the patent.

Right Click Detail Menus
"Right Clicking" on the patent or application record launches a menu that provides access to further information:
